Research
Much of the scientific research in Brazil is conducted at public higher education institutions.
Currently, the UFSC Curitibanos campus has over 100 ongoing research projects, involving all its departments and programs. Some projects have received funding and scholarships from CAPES, CNPq, and FAPESC, contributing to the advancement of knowledge, research, and innovation.
The campus hosts 18 research groups (GPs) registered in the CNPq Directory of Research Groups in Brazil, covering the fields of Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Forest Resources and Forestry Engineering, Biological Sciences, Ecology, Botany, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, and Environmental Sciences.
Research activities on the Curitibanos Campus are regulated by Ordinance No. 52/2020/CCR/CBS.
